The following report is written with the intention of informing councillors/officers and the general public of the situation regarding Canada geese and the manner in which Sandwell council have dealt with the situation to date.

It is not meant as a stick to beat with, but as a different perspective from the point of view of someone committed to animal welfare/avian rescue.

The title is self explanatory, the message clear. There are no need for culls of any species, they will only invite vacancy.

The management of parks need not lead to public conflict. Canada geese are not prejudiced, and they do not lie.
