<\/a><\/p>\nSwanderwoman deputised for The Park Knight at The Hawne Basin <\/a>open weekend in Halesowen on the Dudley Number 2 canal. “She” was especially pleased to be “manning” the tombola stall, whilst also promoting a new swanwatch leaflet.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Swanderwoman\u00a0sported a\u00a0packed lunch on this occasion, and also her trusty swan hook, just in case there were any birds in distress in the vicinity.<\/p>\n Feeling a little half and half?<\/p><\/div>\n As always the stall had a variety of cards, keyrings, information leaflets and goose\/swan food available.<\/p>\n It was a well attended and organised event by The Coombeswood Canal Trust.<\/p>\n The following weekend, the action switched to Brownhills and “the curly wyrley”.<\/p>\n The local birds can be thankful of the generous nature of the Brownhills folk who cleared out all of our supply of goose food! Swanderwoman even had a trip to find the local swan family who were fed.<\/p>\n Gooseman\u00a0also bought his sidekick Goosuki with him.<\/p>\n Well done to The Birmingham Canal Navigations Society who have taken over the running of this event.<\/p>\n Selfies were posed and all had a great time. I’m not sure if Brownhills had ever seen anything quite so theatrical, well maybe not……<\/p>\n Swanderwoman and Gooseman although working hard fighting grime and corruption in the background have now emerged for personal appearances at some waterway festival events.
